I would highly recommend reading this book. I didn’t expect there would still be ways to create completely new pieces in motivation, but the author broke my bias.

It is one of my favorites for now.

I loved the way the author told her story in an honest, unvarnished manner. It's not easy to put yourself there in a book, but she managed to do so in a way that is both interesting and helpful.

The author managed to present such sensitive topics as the advice to reframe the phrase "I need help” in an unexpected manner. That was a bit of advice that I had never heard before, but it's something that I will definitely use in my own life.

This book is about overcoming the blocks that many of us have that get in the way of us achieving what we want, but unlike most other self-help books it approaches the subject in an unusually personal way that combines science and autobiography. The author closely examines key episodes in her own life and adds her knowledge of human biochemical processes, first to clarify how her life experiences were key to forming these blocks, and then the way she discovered to dissolve them. In doing so she courageously shares much of her life and family history, with all its difficulties and failings, and this makes the book more persuasive and motivating than many other self-help books I've come across.

I really enjoyed this book. Hearing the author’s story really helped me put things in perspective and helped me understand that I am not alone in feeling a certain way. It also helped me deal with that constant negative thinking in my head and how to break it down and put it into a clear perspective.

Very different and unexpected view of the things. How human biochemistry changes in different situations and how it affects our behavior. I heard about two stress hormones - adrenaline and cortisol for the first time. I learned a lot of new things.
My favorite was that everything was explained so easy that made the material very digestible.
Definitely worth reading!!!

The author explains in detail what happens in the human body so that everyone can understand, paying special attention to how the comfort zone is formed, and alert zone learned in childhood and built for protection in adulthood.

I loved this book. "The universe never stops communicating with us through signs and intuition." This is so true, yet we often fail to realize it and completely ignore it. This is a very empowering and inspiring book.

A uniquely surprising perspective on how our biochemistry varies across different scenarios and influences our actions. I discovered adrenaline and cortisol as key stress hormones for the first time and gained a wealth of new insights. My favorite aspect was the simplicity and clarity of the explanations, making the content exceptionally easy to understand. This is definitely a must-read!

What specifically caught my attention is that the author explains what happens in the human body in detail so that anyone can understand.

Especially the part about how our comfort zone is formed. The alert zones we learn in childhood and build to protect ourselves in adulthood.

Great read.

The way I'd describe the core concept of this book is: Get out of your comfort zone! I've heard that saying before, but have never really considered how staying in my comfort zone is shaping the course of my life. This book does a wonderful job of framing things in a simple way, diving into the many angles of what making excuses and staying in our comfort zone looks like. I especially like the section about the neuroscience of making excuses, and how the chemicals in our brain shape how we feel and what we do. It's a complex topic that the author elegantly explained in an easy way to understand, and ultimately gives some actionable tips for. Overall, this is a self help book that can actually help move the needle towards accomplishing our goals.

It's a thought-provoking read that pushed me to dig deeper into my motivation. Why am I really doing some of the things (and why I am not)? What are the roadblocks on my way to success? Are they real or imaginary? It's so hard to take a step out of your comfort zone... The funniest part is that I stepped out of my comfort zone so many times before, moving to other cities and even countries, changing jobs and lifestyles, and moving to the village from the city and back. But life goes on, and in the fuss of everyday life, it's easy to forget the simplest things that you learned years ago. This book served me as a reminder. I also enjoyed the proposed techniques to deal with procrastination and anxiety.
