This book is about overcoming the blocks that many of us have that get in the way of us achieving what we want, but unlike most other self-help books it approaches the subject in an unusually personal way that combines science and autobiography. The author closely examines key episodes in her own life and adds her knowledge of human biochemical processes, first to clarify how her life experiences were key to forming these blocks, and then the way she discovered to dissolve them. In doing so she courageously shares much of her life and family history, with all its difficulties and failings, and this makes the book more persuasive and motivating than many other self-help books I've come across.
